Contact us
cloverfields.tech@gmail.com
We answer within 2 business days, and faster for anything involving safety.
Include these and you will save yourself a round trip: the email address on your account, your phone and OS version, the app version from Settings → About, and what you expected to happen instead.
If someone is in danger
Contact your local emergency services first — we are not an emergency service and cannot reach anyone on your behalf. Then report it in the app, or email cloverfields.tech@gmail.com with URGENT in the subject line. Safety reports are triaged ahead of everything else and answered within 24 hours.
Common questions
I can't sign in, or I never got the password reset email
Check the spam folder first — reset mail arrives from Supabase, our authentication provider, and new senders often land there. The link is single-use and expires after an hour; request a fresh one if you are past that.
If you originally signed up with Google or Apple, there is no password to reset — tap the same button you used the first time. Signing in with a different method creates a separate account, even when the email address matches.
The map says my city is quiet, or nobody is showing up nearby
Pulse only shows people who are out and visible right now, so a quiet map is usually a true reading rather than a fault. Three things are worth checking:
- Ghost mode. If it is on, you are invisible — and you cannot see anyone either. Turn it off in Settings → Discovery and privacy.
- Location permission. Without it there is no map to build. See the next answer.
- Your discovery radius. Widen it in Settings → Discovery and privacy.
Pulse can't find my location
iPhone:Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Pulse. Choose While Using the App at minimum, and switch on Precise Location — without it the map cannot place you, and distance bands go wrong.
Android: Settings → Apps → Pulse → Permissions → Location. Choose Allow only while using the app or better, and switch on Use precise location.
Pulse only ever shows other people a rough distance band — “120 m” — never a point on a map. Precise permission is what makes that band accurate; it is not shared.
I'm not getting notifications
A pulse expires in 60 seconds, so notifications are the whole game. Check that notifications are allowed for Pulse in your phone's system settings, then check Settings → Notifications inside the app.
Battery savers are the usual culprit on Android — some manufacturers suspend background delivery aggressively. Excluding Pulse from battery optimisation fixes it.
Someone is behaving badly — how do I report or block them?
From their profile, your chat with them, or any moment they posted: open the ⋯ menu and choose Report or Block. Blocking takes effect immediately — they disappear from your map and cannot contact you.
Reports go to us with the context attached. We review every one, and we remove content and accounts that break the rules on objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You will not be told which action we took about another person's account, but you can always see and undo your own blocks in Settings → Blocked.
Why did my chat disappear?
It is meant to. Ephemerality is the safety model, not a gimmick: a pulse lasts 60 seconds before it expires, a meetup chat closes 48 hours after the meetup, and a travel circle closes when the trip ends.
Chats are end-to-end encrypted, which also means we cannot read them and cannot restore one for you after it closes. Save anything you need — a photo, an address — before then.
Billing, subscriptions and refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, not by us — we never see your card. Manage or cancel a subscription in the App Store or Play Store account settings on the device you bought it on. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs out.
Refunds are Apple's and Google's to give: use reportaproblem.apple.com or Play Store order history. If something we did caused the charge, email us and we will back you up with them.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: the You tab → the gear icon → Delete account, at the bottom. It takes effect immediately, and it cannot be undone — your profile, photos, moments and messages all go.
If you cannot get into the app, email us and we will do it for you. Both routes, and exactly what is kept and for how long, are on the account deletion page.
Your data
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email cloverfields.tech@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will confirm within 2 business days. What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Reporting a security problem
If you have found a vulnerability, email cloverfields.tech@gmail.com with Security in the subject line before disclosing it publicly. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and keep you posted on the fix. We will not pursue anyone who reports a problem in good faith and does not access other people's data.
